A "Brass Monkey" was the term for the brass rails holding the cannon balls on a British Man-O-War sailing ship.
In the high latitudes the temperature got very cold in winter.
In cold weather metals (and other things) shrink.
Uh, you get the idea.

Physicist claim that the number of atoms in the universe is 1083. For the mathematically challenged, that's the number "1" followed by 83 zeros before the decimal point. How in the world do they come up with these "facts"? :icon_scratch:

If all of the DNA strands in the average adult human body were stretched out to their full length and connected end to end; single file, they would go from the earth to Pluto and almost back to earth.

Frogs cannot burp. They can be frozen though and thawed out and still live.

If you throw an Alca Seltzer tablet into the air so that a Sea Gull can catch and swallow it, the Gull will puff up like a balloon and fall to the ground. If they eat it on the ground, they'll puff up and just lay there. Now, that tells us several things.

(1) Sea Gulls have no spit.
(2) Sea Gulls can't burp.
(3) Sea Gulls can't fart.

Question: Are Sea Gulls dog/frog hybrids? Is there a secret government clone lab hidden away somewhere? :icon_scratch:
