Jeff,

There's still a few diehards left and some that drop in from time to time......you'll have to turn on charm to draw them back in.

Sometimes I wonder when my last day will be...in some ways it would be comforting to know, perhaps in many more ways it's good we don't know...

Why do you guys think I lived my life so fast and furious in the military? Hell I never expected to see 30, much less retire. I'm stuck with guilt that I'm in my mid 50's when I lost so many friends. Sounds sick don't it? My wife don't understand she says " you're alive aren't you?" You made it be happy. Yeah guess she's right......

67 years old, sad.
R.I.P.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our comrade, Eagles founder, Glenn Frey, in New York City on Monday, January 18th, 2016,” the band said in a statement. “Glenn fought a courageous battle for the past several weeks but, sadly, succumbed to complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute Ulcerative Colitis and Pneumonia. The Frey family would like to thank everyone who joined Glenn to fight this fight and hoped and prayed for his recovery. Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love and respect for all that he has given to us, his family, the music community & millions of fans worldwide.”

My favorite solo, from "No Fun Aloud," is this....

"Baba O'Riley"
Out here in the fields
I fight for my meals
I get my back into my living
I don't need to fight
To prove I'm right
I don't need to be forgiven

Don't cry
Don't raise your eye
It's only teenage wasteland

Sally ,take my hand
Travel south crossland
Put out the fire
Don't look past my shoulder
The exodus is here
The happy ones are near
Let's get together
Before we get much older

Teenage wasteland
It's only teenage wasteland
Teenage wasteland
Oh, oh
Teenage wasteland
They're all wasted!

Quote: just went back and read the first 10 pages of this thread

so many we used to play with have left us..

As soon as I saw this I knew it would be good.
A friend of mine wants to know if he can be on the list anonymously. He's not worried about it, but wants to avoid the name-callers

(I see what you did there, Jeff....)

Who else wants to throw in for renewing Jeff's Charter Status?
And/or Uncle Bill's Charter Creds?

Hey, I got one dollar, now two! Gimme five, got five, now ten...

Best,

Scott

PS.

PM me with your offers and we'll all see this happen!

Scott....I want to cover this on my album...Know any saxophone players?
My favorite Glenn Frey solo song.

Sweet!

Written specifically for "Miami Vice."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You_Belong_to_the_City

Jan Hammer was also involved with "Miami Vice."
---------------

Sadly, I do not know of a sax player, other than Lisa Simpson.

lisa simpson.png

Shoot! I don't know ANYONE who plays ANY instrument within 800 miles!
I'm all alone, Bro!

Here's some Jan from Miami Vice....

Best,

Scott
