Custom made 1950’s poker table

Hello, I just discovered this site while I’ve been researching my table. I’m curious to know who made it-if that’s even possible- and what it could be worth, if anything, but so far no luck. I know it originated in Topeka KS, my great grandfather got this table Made in the 1950’s and we know he paid at least $3500 for it back then. He was a well known speaker and his daughter ended up making history too, there are places named after my family in KS because of them. Not sure if any of that info needs to be known, I just thought it was interesting.

My grandfather inherited this table when his father passed, then my father, and now it is mine. I can’t find any markings/brands on it that I can see, so I have no clue who made it. It seats 8. It is in great condition considering it’s age, some minor nicks here and there from being moved several times through the years. It is 5ft around, solid wood, very heavy, very well crafted, I don’t know wood types very well so I’m not sure about that, and it has a 1/4” glass topper. I have the original ash trays that went in the chip trays also, but they are stored out of it since they still smell like smoke.

I am moving in a couple months and having movers take it this time, which is why I’m trying to figure out the value of it. I’ll never sell it, it’ll continue to be passed down, but my moving company requested monetary value. I haven’t seen anything similar in age in my searches yet. I see new custom built poker tables ranging up to $13k in price currently, and a family member helping me did an inflation calculator on the original price/time, and it would be almost $40k today according to that which is crazy.

Old/vintage furniture isn’t really a hobby I’ve stepped into much, so any insight anyone might have would be appreciated while I continue to search. Could it be worth something? Is it just old furniture? Is this table worth having appraised for my move?
