Nice silver and you had a blast finding them ! The S on a 1916 Merc may mean" sorry" . Imagine ,you live closer to Denver and all 1916 dimes ,you find, are "all San Fran" . Probably happens alot .

I was really pulling for you with the 1916 Merc dime. :headbang:
Even though it was a "s" mintmark, it is still in very
good shape. Congrats on the sweet silver finds and
the next one you find will probably be the "d" mintmark.

Nice silver, Ron! Isn't that your second 1916 merc for the year? Hope the weather holds out for you guys. Its been nice here the last two days. Today is my only day off for the week and its really starting to look ugly out there. I'm planning a hunt in about an hour, if the weather holds.

Nice finds!
I found a 1916-S last year.
The worse thing was being able to see the mintmark, but not being able to see if it was a D or S until I got home!
Time for glasses!
At least it's in good shape.
Congrats!
