Day 2 - Archaeological Dig....

[CRUSADER]

Only did 1 hour at lunch on the spoil heaps.

They have done 6 trenches now. Only features in them are shallow ditches which have been clear of finds including pottery. So all they have is what I have found (so far).

50cal Machine Gun Casing (WWII)
2 Pistol Bullets (WWII)
Forged Iron Roman Nail Head

The nail head is a start & Monday we maybe digging some pits near a possible house (date unknown).

Archeologists can be so picky...lol Dig/blast and use a metal detector. That's it; fast and clean...welll
