I'd like to share one of the best tips I've ever been given out in the field, and that's how to get free buckets. Now, I don't know what the policy is where you live, but where I live you can go to the bakery at one of the Kroger-branded supermarkets ask if they have any buckets they're getting rid of. Usually when I go they'll give me one or two 3.5 gallon buckets. Then you just have to take them home and clean the cake icing out really well.

There you go, free buckets.

Another place to get buckets is FireHouse Subs. They charge a buck or two for them but the funds go to a charity which is cool by me.

AzViper gets tons of them from Hotel laundry departments including the 15 gallon barrels which I use as water totes - FREE

Many restaurants can also be sources for buckets as well.

My wife worked doing cake decorations before she retired and brought home many WASHED buckets for me. I always had 30-40 buckets at my disposal. BUT lately when ive been going to club outtings Id give them away to people in the club.
