F2

The "feedback" is this: the Ace 250 is a very well known and well regarded product in the same price category, and so far not one Garret fan has been willing to dispute my assertion that the F2 is just plain better. When comparing different models from different manufacturers, "just plain better" is usually an apples vs. oranges thing where everyone will have a different opinion, but in this case the jury seems to have delivered a verdict.

I think list price is on the order of $230, haven't checked recently. If it's new for $150 you have a bargain. If it's "pre-owned" but of recent manufacture and in like new condition, $150 is a decent price. If you're getting it from a forum sponsor, buy with confidence.

Thanks for the link I'm actually buying it from a 3rd party so I'm a little apprehensive about it. My next purchase will be my first purchase for a md I'm not rich yet so I'm trying to explore all options so my wife doesn't kill me for going overboard. Is there a forum on here for people selling gear haven't really looked.

F2 Loves Gold and Silver!!!!! My 2 cents :)

I have an F2. It's a basic machine but doesn't feel like a piece of crap. I like mine. Pretty deep little heater too.
There is a for sale section under marketplace, charter member classifieds section.
You can't go wrong with an F2 as a first machine. Good luck.

Well unfortunately my deal fell apart i went and looked at it and it wasnt even the same thing as the picture before he even showed me it he bumped the price up 30 bucks but i was still gonna go for it as it was still cheaper then brand new. Looked more like something you get from walmart looks like ill search the forums on here or just buy a new one

One thing for sure, at it's price range it will pay for itself in a very short time. New or used. All you have to do is get out there and use it once you get it. Happy Hunting!

This is true. Mine has already paid for itself and I was off to a slow start. Last year, 6 days at beach yielded $50 in clad. Dry sand only.
