Hello All. Didn't get a chance to dig over the week end so I decided to count my dug clad that I have been saving over last five years or so. Did not count the pennies yet but I estimate that I have about $55 bucks just in pennies. My son and I did count the quarters, dimes, and nickels. With the pennies there are about (7400) coins in all.

I will be rolling this up for folding moola soon. I was a bit surprised by the total amount that I have amassed. Any guesses on my total cash value?

Maybe I should not hoard it for so long next time...

Thanks for the view and good luck. C9

PS we also found a Buff, (15) wheats, and a dozen or so pieces of silver that I forgot about...my son and I had a great time counting everything...almost like finding it again...without digging a single hole.

That is a mound of moolah. I have always been told that you can't pay for your addiction with your finds. I think I could buy a heck of a machine for $7000.00

Ya that clad really adds up!

Our bank has a coin machine that takes loose coins and rarely rejects any and we get full value for it.

That's a lot of clad. Counting's not quite as fun as finding. How are you going to cash it in? Here's a pick of 2014's clad. Approx. $480.

I used the coinstar this time. Never again though. I have a way of turning most of it into new clad, rolling it and depositing at my bank for full value.

That's a LOT of clad! Looks pretty clean too...do you use a tumbler to clean em up, or just roll em as they are? Nice stash! :icon_thumleft:

How do you clean them well enough for the banks to accept and still value you as a customer?

Instead of hoarding the dirty clad I clean them with my tumbler and then use vending machines to get me new shinny clad. I then roll the good coins and deposit them in my dirt fishing /pay-pal bank account.

Assuming $55.00 in pennies, you have about $304.75 there.

That is a "Big Stack"..

I been saving all my clad for two + years now, eyeballed coins go into the stack too.
I also separate the Zinc Cents from the Copper Alloy Ones.

Don't think I got as much as you or Sarge, don't dig too much clad while relic hunting and when I do (I'm ' Ill).
It def, adds up.

I have $29.45 in clad on me today that I plan on running through the vending machines at work. Ya never know I might pull some silver in the change.

Mission accomplished, all shiny new clad. Some vending machines give you a quarter back instead of the combination of nickles and dimes you insert.
