Is this a fired musket ball? If so, is there any way to tell the age? I weighed it and it was 0.04 lbs or about 18.14 grams

That's a lot of oxidization.
Lead can oxidize quite fast in the right environment, so telling a accurate age is very hard to do.
Most times age is estimated by the other relics and area where found.
With all that said....
It looks it could have been a fired round ball, but then again it could be an old sinker.
Hard telling with other context.

Keep looking there could be great find there...

I've found fired round balls on the battlefield that look exactly like that. Did you find any other bullets or war evidence in the vicinity?
