I decided to try my luck in a park where i found my last gold ring, 3 minutes into the hunt my second target and out pops this little beauty. I was using an x-terra 705 with a 6" dd high freq 18.75 coil. Its the 4th time i use it and today it proved to be a killer on the gold. Ill try and post a link to a video later. The pictures are of my last 3-4 hunts since i got the coil.
The silver eagle I bought from a friend a coupple hrs. Ago, 20 bucks.

Thanks for all the replys, even though its not an authentic U.S. Gold coin, would it still be considered a gold coin, what do you think?

You definitely deserve the good finds after all that digging. Gold is gold regardless of what shape or form but technically I don't think it would classify as a gold coin, at least not in the sense of legal tender. Regardless its a great find and one to be proud of.

Its gold & its 'coin like' but to me its jewelry & not jewelry made from a real coin. Therefore, if I found it, I would not count it as a true coin. Still it has value & is a good dig.

Have you had a chance to test it at all? Or are there markings on the "Coin" part anywhere? I love the style of it

It does not appear to be a genuine gold coin, :icon_scratch: its a pendant or gold round or something, maybe trying to represent a coin. ??? I'm sure its still gold, good recovery !! :icon_thumright:

Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:

A jeweller friend of mine verified 14k with acid test, inside the clasp is a 14k mark and for the coin he gave it a little inside scrape and tested good for solid gold. Thanks for all the coments, and happy hunting.
