I recently bought a Deus and finally was able to take it out for a spin. Great design, comfortable and wireless. All great features but we all know what’s really important. What will it get out of the dirt? I decided to take it to a couple of sites that I’ve beat to death to give it a proper test. I was pretty blown away that my first couple of times out with it I pulled a lot of keepers that I had previously missed. Nothing earth shattering but knowing some of the sites I have this certainly is very exciting and if it gets this many targets from the rest of my sites I’m guessing there will be some nice keepers in the future. Here’s the stuff I’ve missed after beating these spots to death. I’m extremely impressed!

Good Luck Abe. The Deus is a killer machine, especially for target separation. I suspect that you'll come up with some great finds at some of your older sites. A word of advice - the bottom of the interface has a small hole. Purchase a small lanyard/wrist wrap, secure it through the hole on the interface and around the upper assembly/arm rest. The interface doesn't come off easily, but if you ever trip in the brush, which happens on occasion when searching in the woods, the interface can detach. You won't notice it because the headphones are wireless I almost lost my interface in such a situation, and I know someone who lost their unit and never found it. :dontknow: The rest should all be good. It's a great machine so make some great recoveries and maybe you can convert Bill D. to the Deus. He is still a hold-out.

I put a lanyard on the remote at the advice of my good buddy OutdoorAdv. Hard to see from this pic but here it is

Brad’s so smart. Like POTUS smart. Charlie lost his and spend a few hours hunting it down. I prefer the lanyard.

Brad is NOT smart! But this was certainly a great tip from him lol

Yup.........I'm betting you'll pull something soon and it will be on top again! Great looking largie right out of the gates!!!!:icon_thumright:

You are going to have a great season from now on....

I certainly see why you love this machine. I was pretty surprised at the depth it gets. Couple that with the speed it’s pretty hard to beat.

You just never know - I got a great deal on a "used once Garrett 2500" yrs ago
I was going to a group hunt and had to use a Garrett - so I had to get used to it and learn
how to use it if I was going to perform at this hunt - I took it to a colonial field that I hit at least 20 times
have a friend that hit it about 40 - and know of no less than 20 others that have hit for yrs
I ended up with 3 early colonial coppers - was shocked - have not gotten anything worth speaking of with it since

For sure Pep. I was like “Jesus man how the hell did I miss all of this.” It’s not like they’re all tiny targets either. I will say the Deus with the 11” coil is much deeper than I expected. That little tankard kid was at least 11” deep.

Air tests are air tests but do it with a quarter. 14-15”.

Nice hunts.. I'm really impressed with the iron separation. Yesterday I was on a burned building site from 1916 .Pulled a square nail and thought I know I heard something else..Pulled a second nail and thought" seriously" Probed a third time and found a thin barrett.

Nice digs! I’ve been toying with the thought of getting one.. I use the 3030 and have been stuck on whether to do the DEUS or the EQUINOX800..... tough call.....

My friend just got one. He hit a small field we hunted to death the last time there got nothing. He goes back with the deus and pulls 20 more buttons. Hunted with him last weekend and is hit a iron infested area for a hour with nothing and he came over and got a lc bullets buttons etc. I just had to walk away lol. I'm using the f70. That I really like but the deus is awesome in iron.

Very interesting finds, and I'm glad you're enjoying the machine!

Nicely done, and all the best,

Lanny
