I ran a errand in town today and on the way back I stoped at a park for a MD hunt. The area where I live is not very old . in my 3 years of Metal detetcing I never dug a silver coin; that is untill today!!! I got a strong dime signal down at 6''deep. I dug it up and looked it over for about 10 seconds :icon_scratch: , thinking this is realy clean for that deep. Then it clicked in my brain, 1963 SILVER DIME. I yelled and did a little dance around the hole.

Nice first. Silver always (generaly) comes out of the ground pretty clean with usually a quick wash with water

Sweet I know the feeling. I just found my 1st 2 silver's today in the cold. I was hunting and old farm house that has been for sale for 2 years. I called the realitor and he had no problem with me going out their to do a little digging. as long as I kept it clean.

a Liberty quarter so worn I can't tell the date, and a rare Columbian Half Dollar... at least I think they are rare?? WOW I was floored. I'm getting ready to post it.
Happy Hunting
