I've found plenty halves, but if I ever found a silver dollar I do believe I'd soil myself!

What a beautiful Morgan dollar! Congratulations! When you think about it, and I do all the time, it makes sense that these are seldom found. When they were in circulation a dollar was a LOT of money. So if one was dropped you bet they would look for it long and hard. I find mostly dimes when hunting and it is logical. Kid has a small hole in his pocket and a dime falls through. Or one is dropped and is so small it's tough to find etc.

So although not rare it's a heck of a find!

That's awesome amazing that was the only good find to be had out of that place. I hunt a lot and have been fortunate to find 3 in 20 yrs. Big time rush seeing them come out of the ground

Great find, a silver dollar of any year is number 1 on my detecting wish list, really a gold coin is number 1, but I think the silver dollar would come up first, if I am lucky.
