Well, I have been stalking this site for quite a while and finally decided to take the plunge and ordered two boxes of half dollars from my credit union. Received two MWRs from Loomis and here are the results:
2-1968, 3-1968 & 5-1964 out of the first box! Nothing out of box two!!! I'm hooked!

Congrats and welcome to the forum!! I haven't found a credit union that would order halves for me so you might be on a very good source. Keep it up and don't worry about the skunk boxes.

Happy Hunting

Congrats, great beginners luck! Welcome to the addiction. HH, maverick.

I have had nothing but skunks the last month, and all of them have been Loomis.

Are you sure they are from Loomis? I thought that all of the long flat boxes were from Loomis, but the other day a teller told me they come from Garda. I guess that could mean that the long flat boxes come from multiple providers since they are Strings & Sons products.

I am sure they are from Loomis, since that is the carrier for this bank.

Oh, I forgot to say this yesterday, but one of my 1964s was an ender and I actually saw it before opened it. That was pretty awesome. If only all the boxes could be this good!
