Glad you are still able to get out and fish!

You're lucky, I built two flyrods this past Winter and have only been able to cast them in my front yard. No bites...

It is the way a fisherman holds it away from their body, optical illusion.:laughing7:

I was going to say it didn't look right at all. Almost looks photo shopped. Still a very nice one when put in perspective. Here is the state record carp for Massachusetts at 46 pounds, 5 ounces.

Actually, Chris, that one in the pic broke the record of the one that was caught in the Connecticut river. You definitely are in the right spot though for getting a big one! Maybe you will break the record. Here is part of the article that went with the pic above:

This carp, taken from Lake Quinsigamond in Shrewsbury, weighed a staggering 46 pounds, 5 ounces, breaking the 1993 state carp record of 44 pounds 2 ounces set by Roger Pyzocha with a fish he caught on the Connecticut River.

It did look more like a lake carp than a river carp, flabby no current, river, constantly fighting current, real fighters.

20200423_080326.jpg I'm here at my new office. This is looking out the back window of the boat. We have spent 1 month working things out and learning this new boat. We've only fished twice to work the bugs out. It's time to make a fishing plan !!! I'm voting we go east for the month of may and fish blue marlin !!
