Fisher 1210-x

Hello. I inherited a Fisher 1210-x that looks in great shape. However, I’m getting nothing when I turn it on. I’ve changed the 9v. Any ideas on what to try next?

1st - Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country)...

2nd - I moved ya from GENERAL DISCUSSION over to Brands > J. W. Fisher's for more exposure.

only it's not a JW fisher , it's a fisher , same people make tecnetics and bounty hunter. texas instruments . it's an older machine and in my personal opinion not worth putting any money into. I'd clean the battery contacts try new batteries and a different set of headphones I'd not put money into it beyond that. there are better ,lighter more modern machines available.

Dang - sorry about that. Fisher Research Labs' metal detectors are now owned by First Texas Products. I moved you over to BRANDS > FISHER RESEARCH LABS.

Sure, hang it on the wall and get a more modern detector.
