Temps in the 50's in January --- got to get out.
I went to the lot that gave up an IH and '44 merc in December. Spent 1 1/2 hours with the XLT and got '40 and '49 wheats, a '46 nickel, and '43 merc. All of the finds are in front of the foundation rocks that are still present - about 5 feet from the sidewalk. The front yard was only about 15 feet deep. Have'nt found any coins to the side of where the house stood or the back yard. But, I haven't spent much time yet where the back yard was. The problem is the same as always with rental - lots of trash, plus the demolition scraps.

Nothing like finding a merc. One of the best looking coins minted...Hope you find many more and hope the weather holds out up there.

Really nice looking Merc, continue to work out the trash and you will be rewarded with some really deep targets on future digs.
