Primary Interest:
Relic Hunting
Been noticing a pile on dirt along a road close to my house in a State Forest.
Turned out to be cellar hole that`s on my 1860s map and still in use in the 1904 Plate Map.
Chrome sleigh bell must be at the end of the era ?
Is that a Mouth piece of a trumpet ?
HML well i don`t know... not a pin or and broach maybe be a sash tie ?
Buffalo Nickle thin as a dime no date.
Maybe a buckle,maybe a gasket ?
End of walking stick,or top of lamp ?
The place confused me so i roled in the dirt, ate my lunch, took a nap, went home .

Cjon and I are still rolling the idea around of coming up to visit you Gary. Glad you got out. Neat old relics.

Glad to see you got out Gary. I bet that bedknob or pull made your detector go nuts! Those always ring up as a quarter on mine.

Good luck

Cool digs GAP, sounds like you had a good day out detecting, dining, and napping.

I have dug a few of those exact same ball/knobs on old farms and assumed they were from horse drawn collars.

Ya Scrappy my F75 thought it was a Quarter !

I like the crotal bell. My guess on the round ball is a bedpost topper.

Nice variety there Gary:icon_thumleft:
I found a simialar relic to your trumpet mouth piece a couple months ago and seen one somewhere recently and said oh,tats what it's for.Now i forget!
I think it may be the top to a powder flask..

Yep, nice that you got.
My 2 cents,, the trumpet mouth piece is grooved which makes me think that something was attached or clamped on it to make it air or water tight.
The round object with the pin through it looks like a lamp wick adjustment knob.
Congrats on your finds
