Beautiful hard stone Steve. I had to enlarge the one picture to see the multi shaft abrader/awl sharpener. He has found some very cool items. Did this site survive to the time when Lewis and Clark was in the area? I know that one of our villages here on Chickamauga creek was called "Little Owl Village" and her brother was named Chief Dragging Canoe.
Just wondering if any old records remain to what the village was called if it had not been abandoned.

Those grooved axes, celts and hand mauls are truly fine pieces of workmanship. Dang I wish I could find just one.

Thanks for showing some of John's collection! :notworthy: Sure like the pottery rim pieces, I really like the designs on them.
I see a nice little piece of petrified wood in the first photo, top, right.
