Seated in Utah? Very nice find!

Cool find PB!
Why yes yes it is lol. Don't hear of too many found out here. More out on the east coast.
My two half dimes are seated too (1853 and 1856). Both from the Utah Territories.
I stand corrected. I have done lots of research but apparently I don't research the right spots. I'll get them eventually. Either way nice find papa bear.kuger said:yep,we might have to age,but just as many Reales and more Seateds come from out here.I have good friends that have hunted back East for 30 years that have less Seateds than guys out here who have hunted a fraction of the time....my point is,dont be discouraged, they are out there if you spend the time to research and hunt like Papa Bear does

I agree with Kuger. The 1878 Morgan Dollar I found http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/todays-finds/315884-my-first-silver-dollar.html came from a field next to an old farm house and barns about 2 miles from my house. I have a 1858 Dragoon/Indian skirmish site to obtain permission for, and an Indian Wars camp to actually hunt having obtained permission. These sites are both up in Northern Utah. There is plenty of stuff out here in Utah to research and find.
