2 Indians are sitting around a fire smoking a "peace pipe"
along comes a fur trader they have a trade set up to deal with him
he sits down and and they transact there wears etc
well to seal the deal they smoke
it is passed around
when it gets to the trapper
he takes a deep inhale
then pauses as it hits him
turns and asks
what is this?
the Indians look at him and one answers
