It's one of those rare times we get to hear the circumstance of the loss. All the dudes that lost my recoveries aren't retired from NHL Hockey and still around, they're 6 feet under in some Colonial dirt. ;D Kind of the same spot I thought Mark should have put Claude Lemieux in 1987. :laughing7:

I guess I wrote that for my father, he has followed them for many years now. Here most are Habs or Leafs fans, so I always found it funny he was one of the few cheering on the the Penguins. That being said, with Crosby there would be a hell of a lot more following now, in my area and probably everywhere else across the country.

That is a great find and an even greater story, although I am disappointed that the finder didn't get the pleasure of locating and speaking with the owner and someone else felt it was their mission to intervene instead :icon_scratch:

The finder posted a picture with the player's name in hopes this very thing would happen ::)

Is this the same guy in the itsy-bitsy spider ads?

Nope, that guy is Stu "the grim reaper" Grimson. A past NHLer that loved to drop the gloves.

UPDATED February 26, 2010
Hi there, just wanted to let everyone know that I mailed Marks ring back awhile ago and I communicated with him yesterday and he has cofirmed to me that he has received his ring from the post office and so the championship ring is now back in his possession finally after all these years. Mark and I live very far away from each other so I am sorry I cannot post a returne picture of us together which would of been cool but I think when Mark gets a chance he may post a picture but the main thing is he now has his ring back. Thanks for the kind comments and happy hunting.
