That is exquisite. It's in excellent shape for being in the ground so long, that is without any dammage. And the nice thing about gold is it keeps it's colour. It looks European, continental. I'm thinking French as well. Please get it looked at by a reputable jeweler and then enjoy owning such a great piece of vinatge jewelry.

Okay I dont want to get anyone excited but the design looks medevil to me.If you can get a shot of the makers marks that would be helpful, the engraved letters inside are that of the owner or owners ancestors. Some old gold rings have the makers marks hidden in the design on the outside of the ring.Looks like something Dugfinds would get in the field.Like DJ Quinn said find a reputable jewellery appraiser and enjoy.......its fabulous ;)

:o Completely gorgeous!!! :o

Congrats on such a great find!!! ;D

I know this may sound far fetched. . but could you go to a jewelry store, when they are having a slow day & ponder to them a few questions about Hallmarks? Maybe they could give some good advice . . might find someone who is helpful & will be a good source when you come across another interesting item. . . just a thought ;D
