I currently have a Bounty Hunter Quick Draw II that i got to hunt around the parks and schools where i live. Since it does have options for seeking gold im wondering how it would do for nugget hunting. I've tested it out with some 1gram gold bars i have and it finds them pretty easily. There is a strictly gold coil Bounty Hunter makes for it, would the coil be worth buying or am i going to still have problems with ground mineralization?

simple answer...yes it will give you some trouble in highly mineralized soil...the chattering made mine useless in some areas of desert in AZ and too close to the surf line on some beaches...but I have found a few small nuggets with mine, never very deep due to having to turn the sensitivity down because of the soil though...if you want to do nugget shooting I would suggest a machine made for it
