Had a good morning for dropped change. 6 American Dimes and one Canadian Dime at my number one local McDonalds drive thru. And, I learned why my usual pickings there has been so slim. The window service girl stuck her head out and said, hey, "those are mine", laughing. I told her there are two kinds of people in the world, the fastest and the lastest. We laughed as she told me the server girls have been hitting the drive thru for a long time and I wasn't the only one who walked back there checking there for change. She said their best finds were usually less than a quarter. I offered her the 7 dimes and she refused. I also asked if she checks the register for silver. She said, "better believe it", but it's been a while since they found any. She had none for sale at 20X face. Hey, you can't pass up a chance for silver.

So, now we have the bank tellers cherry picking silver, McDonalds register girls cherry picking the drive thru and registers for silver and dropped clad. No wonder it's tough out there. Finds to date $4.65.

I'm up to about $40
of loose change found above the ground and in the Coinstar reject slot, since Jan.1st. 2013,I've got some secretes I'll share with my Treasurenet friends 1st thing I work at a very busy grocery store and we have a Coinsatr machine that hates silver coins, usually dimes,we also have self-checkout registers where people always leave their change behind. Now lets go out to the parking lot ,I hit the parking lot about 3:45 am in the morning 6 days a week(I work @4am).I find allot of my change in the parking lot ,nickles, dimes and quarters stand out the best from the lights in the parking lot, also I go to the drive thru pharmacy area and look for change there, this also works at fast food drive thru's to.Here in Austin we have allot of homeless/jobless people that stand on corners looking for free money, what they drop becomes mine when there's nobody on that corner, usually just pennies & nickles, and when I walk my dog in my "hood" I always walk in the street and scan the street for coins,I got lucky earlier this year by finding a $20 bill & a $1 bill wrapped up together next to the curb,in some leaves, and then the next day ,almost in the same spot a $10 bill.
I also know I have a sickness, that I have to scan streets & parking lots all the time:laughing7:

Have you ever heard of the term, "leave it for the sweeper" :dontknow: You're so lucky to be in TX, you see up here in NJ we play by a different set of rules. I see you in my parking lot, grabbing my goodies, you just may end up being able to read the serial number off my rear end axle :laughing7:

Last night was yet another night of rain, only found 1 cent. Tonight should be good, it's sunny :tongue3:

YTD $36.96

Two nights and only $0.04 cents found. OK it was raining the night before and that doesn't help, and last night was just windy and cold.

YTD $37.00

That's probably the last time I'll see just a dollar amount with no coins, unless the rest of my finds are all paper .:tongue3:

Another quarter and dime in my CVS parking lot. Saw the coins before I got out of my truck. I think I've found that same combination 3 or 4 times in the past couple of months. Spooky. Also saw a one cent laying in what looked like green Flem. It's still there. Up to an even $5.00.

I would have taken some gloves and picked up that cent, then cleaned it up.

No new finds, but I cleaned the dateless cent from Feb. 24 using a tumbler, and it turned out to be a 2006.

Today is the first day I went out hunting for money this year. After I got my food from McDonnalds I started walking the edges looking in the weeds. I found a 5 dollar bill. I'm now up to 5.13

Last night 1 quarter, 1 dime, 1 nickle, 3 pennies total $0.43 cents

I thought this might have been it until Sunday night, but I might fill in for yet another driver Saturday night. I hope the first driver they asked has plans, as I've always been lucky on this route :tongue3:
There are several sites where paper reigns :headbang:
