Hit the 1800's campsite again

Another cold morning in Ohio. Found my first whole LC (1853) a few buttons and musketballs along with some other relics. This field never seems to quit producing which is nice and its about 200 ft. from my house. Golddiver met me there about an hour after I started I imagine he will be posting some pics of his finds also. The one little button is gold and silver gilted. Of course I also walked out with a bag of smashed pop cans, wish the price of alum. was high.

Nice work Bro! Your first complete large cent! That is exciting stuff and im very happy for you, I still remember my first LC a 1798 Draped Bust found about 25 years ago.

That largie you found today is a 1853? If I remember right, nice work for a newbie with a new machine. I should get my finds up tomorrow sometime.

Thanks Steve it is definitely a great feeling it seems like everytime we go out i get a little better. I just got my 580 probe still getting used to it been using it around the yard for practice. Thanks again Steve if it weren't for you I wouldn't be even doing this and I love it.

Great finds!! I have been hunting a hay field about 200 feet from my house too. Looks like we should stay arround home more often ;D
