I'm old enough that I get tired after swinging an Explorer II for just two hours. Of course it could be the sholder surgery slowing me down or maybe it just that it is SO FREAKING HOT! out there this time of year. Who knows for sure. I will be the big 5 0 in about 20 days.

31 in 10 more days. Serious for probably about 4 years now i think and will continue just as long as can still swing the coils. :)

Can't beat the hobby and can always learn something new.

I am 50.
Started detecting in 1978.
One day that year my boss at the pizza place I was working came with a whites detector and a few rings he had found at a lake beach.
I used my first paycheck to buy a piece of crap detector.
I have been hooked ever since.

to quote Kris Kringle in "Miracle On 34th Street"

I'm as old as my gums and a little older than my teeth.
(he never actually said it but it was written on his application to be the department store santa.....always found that line to be funny)

to be more exact though....39
