Went to work an hour early (5am) on Sunday and found the smaller of the 2 rings. Today I was working the 1st tee box, found the bigger ring and the neat NRA collectible coin. I just wish I had an entire week, all day every day, to completely clean this course out. Same one I found my 1894 O Barber Quarter in! All with a Coinmaster Pro. Both rings are 14K.

How can you hunt a golf course? I would think they would be extra picky about the grass!

What areas on the course specifically do you find this stuff? I would imagine on the short grass there may not be much, it just seems like anything would just sit on top and stand out

Mainly around the tees and greens, along with the bigger trees lining the fairway that have roots showing. Permission comes with the job. I don't think this course has EVER been detected.

Out here in Denver, if you even got close to a golf course, they'd hunt you down in their little go-carts, and then beat you with a 9 iron, or whatever would be equivalent to the distance from the hole you were hunting near.

And then have the caddy violate you.
You are one lucky SOB to get to hunt there.

Do you wear colorful attire and jaunty caps while detecting?
Carl

Come to think of it, my Shadow X2 with the small coil could fit easily in a golf bag.

I always wondered if those sanded tee-off boxes would produce... But an NRA coin? Were they shooting for the cup or shooting at deer on the course?
