So today I went back to the spot I went to last week where I found the 1868 2 cent. I decided to hike in in a different trail and I guess I'll be busy this summer because I found five other cellar holes on route to my spot. The humidity made the bug spray useless due to sweating it off but it was still a good little hunt. My first good dig was an interesting tombac button I've never seen one like it. Could it be colonial? But my best find was an 1802 draped large cent my oldest coin yet I'm hoping I'll break into the 18th century this year. Thanks for looking.

Congrats on your wonderful coin! :hello2::occasion18: :icon_thumright: You've certainly found a perfect detecting area, one we all dream about. Except for the nasty biting bugs. Andi

Five cellar holes?.... nice!!. You'll definitely break into the 18th century with all that hunting ahead of you... probably a few 1700s coins where you found that 1802. I'd check that site again for sure. Nice finds.

1802 and 5 cellar holes- what great potential. Post those 1700's when you find them,
