About halfway along Thursday's five mile torture hike....102 F. That's me up top, going for a sample.
That vein was fatter than I remembered, and a lot harder to get to. I'm on hands and knees in this shot, because that part of the formation was only about 18" wide up there. Near side about 80' drop, and the back side about 20 ft.

Looks like an old mine or something, but at about 25 seconds in, you focus on a triangular rock. It has what would be an "X" on it towards the right side . The long leg of the "x" points at the median on the right leg of the triangle. Here's what I would check. Use the triangular rock as the top corner of a triangle. Find the 2 other corners, they can be anything, boulders, trees, a rock outcrop with a triangular cut, but something indicating "triangle". Find the lower right corner and go to the spot that is midway between the top rock and the lower right corner and see what is there. That's where I would carefully dig first, and mark compass directions on any strange rock (especially one that points) dug up in that particular spot.

the duke?....if you are talking about john wayne he was involved in treasure hunting...he was even in the superstitions looking at one time

Actually they did westerns out there back then. He also was the reason that the Jones dig(?) down at Sierra Vista on Post went through. They were filming down there and he heard the story and talked to the Post Commander. That is why they let Jones go looking for it again.

Now to me, I don't believe The Match Box gold is Dutchman's either, but ore changes fast in a mine so I could be 100% wrong. But Here's a pic of what I believe is the Gold From the Dutchman's Mine. The clues fit and the description of the mine. So here it is! Yeah I know the worlds full doubters and TN has them all!

IMG_1658.JPG

Now I'm no expert and never even herd of something like this, But a couple of experts believe my theory is correct
These pinheads and nuggets and gravel pressed between the plates of quarts, I believe the gold was there before the quarts veins were formed and pressed it all together.
