Indian Head cent collection as of 2013-01-13

Here are scans of my current Indian Head cent collection as of Sun., Jan. 13, 2013.

I found all these from boxes of MWR cents over the past 7 months. I found (27) in total, but sold 2 so I only have 25 now.

The coins are in the same positions in the scan of the tails as in the scan of the heads, so you can see the back of a coin by looking in the same row and column in the scan of the tails.

The oldest is 1869 (1st column, 3rd row), but appears to have been excavated and is in bad shape.

That's a lot of Indians. You must do a lot of cents. Out of curiosity, which 2 did you sell?

I sold the 2 pictured below with 2 steel cents (also below) for about $3 after eBay/PayPal fees and postage in August.

Very nice! I've only found 4 in the wild, out of $1,900 searched (that's 190,000 cents...). I've got quite a few, though, and just yesterday bought a used Whitman Indian folder, so I'm going to try to assemble a set.

Those are pretty good numbers, I have searched over $50,000 (5 million cents) and have only found 27.

I've only done about $500 in cents, and yet to find one. But the hunt isnt over.

That's an impressive IH collection from just 7 mos crhing!
I'm one of those MD'ers that sets a lot of my dug IH's back into circulation, usually just the corroded and poor shape coins.
