Indiana, Wisconsin, Fishing, & Detecting

My son and I just got back from our fishing vacation in Indiana and Northern Wisconsin. It was still in the 50's a rainy in Wisconsin so the fishing wasn't that great. Enjoyed the week with my two brothers, nephew, & friends. My younger brother, who NEVER fishes, smoked us with a 34" Musky, and three Northern Pike. Two were off the pier in front of our cabin! :icon_thumleft: We'll never hear the end of it I'm sure.

I brought my detector and snuck in a few hours of detecting in my hometown in Indiana.
One was a 1890 house in town, and the other was a beautiful old 1850's house in the country. The finds at both houses were deep due to the soft black soil. I was pulling up memorial pennies at over 6" deep! Very disappointing. :-\

Nothing too great found, but I got a few keepers.
At the 1890 house I found:
*Toy WW2 soldier
*Toy Cowboy ("Lincoln Logs" on the base)
*Denver Mint / Dept. of Treasury token

At the 1850's house I found:
*1900 & 1905 IH
*General service eagle button
*Wheats- 1925 to 1956
*1943P war nickel
*Dog tag from this location!
*Kent knife
*Asst'd relics

Also, when I got back I had my very first issue of North South Trader's Civil War magazine waiting for me. I was honored to find my "NC" buckle and "CSN" button gracing the page AND in color to boot! :icon_thumleft: That made up for the poor fishing & weather this trip. ;D

I hope to get caught up on the great finds soon.
Thanks for looking,
MM

Sorry, a few more pictures.
Here's the 1850's house back in the day.

The other picture is of my younger brother "Musky Mark" or "The Pike Prince", as we began to call him. ;D

Thanks for the nice replies.
I'll be sticking to detecting old property yards until fall.
Any idea how old that knife would be? I remember my grandfather having one similar.
Thanks all,
MM

And a handsome group of fellas there! 8) You're wearing coats? :icon_scratch: In June? :P I'll say I wouldn't mind having to drag my jacket back out of the closet. Sooo hot here this time of year. As always loved the video and the pics. Congrats on that great mag article! :icon_thumright:

Always, the best~
