My research led me to a stretch of woods next to an old cemetery plot. I was told there once stood a church in those woods in the 1800's so i pictured church picknicks and lots of kids running around losing their pennies ;D After gaining permission from the landowner my brother and i hit the woods with our DFX and Minelab SE's. Within 15 minutes we each had an Indian Head. I said "Bill,I think we're on to something" LOL ..Our total for the afternoon was eight Indians,a wheatie,a key that i think may be a model "T", a token and a 62 Rosie. Just FYI my brother and his SE pulled out five of the Indians, the wheatie, the key,the token and the Rosie.Enjoy the pics and thanks for havin a look!!

Indian heads are sure fun to find and a good indicator of what other treasures may be in store!
I'd keep right on keeping on; hunting that location at every opportunity!

Great story!

Excellent! It's GREAT to get on that spot and find the first thing that says "I'm Here!" Few other feelings can match it. Nice work on the research, and the recovery buddy.

Nice haul. Looks like you got most of the tribe. ;D I'm sure there are more. A few of those coins look like they would clean up nice with some ammonia/olive oil.

That key does look like some of the early Ford keys I have dug. Those are always exciting. Thanks for sharing.

Great stuff! I don't think I have ever seen that many Indians dug to Wheatie's ratio before. I'd be there first thing in the morning to rehunt that area. then the next morning, then the next....
