It's hard to tell buy the pic ... but it looks off white and maybe then it is lead . If you found a bunch try to cut or file it to expose the inside and the show us , Woodstock

Ohm yeah, Lead is Lead. Wheel weights are not true lead but an alloy. There is no such thing as old lead. Lead is lead or lead mixed with an alloy. I cast my own bullets with 100% lead and 100% lead is not $45.00 a pound. I'm guessing you might have eaten too many paint chips with lead in them when you were a child. I could be mistaken but if I can sell lead at $45.00 a pound then I'm going into lead mining as a business !!!!

LOL, a little overboard but yes if you are lucky you can sell it for .50¢ a pound. I sell 2# fishing sinkers here for a dollar.

Wrong, research Low Alpha Lead.

I think it needs to be at least 250+ years old. (Top of head response, might be a bit more or less)

Crusader already posted about low alpha lead but I have to wonder who may have eaten too many lead paint chips at this point.

Hi Folks; Simple question here. When is the last time anyone here found a bunch of Ingots lead or not ??? As a result I ask Slycer to Post a picture of the all in a pile upon which I think We here should Vote Banner. Lastly, Were they found using a metal detector ?? Answer and do these things Slycer and I believe every guy here would Vote Banner ok. A find like that could even take KING Banner. We await Slycer. Thanks. PEACE:RONB

Personally... ahem...

At the risk of sounding whatever...

This to me... looks like a sandcast gold ingot.

Well if you're right I suspect that this will be the last post from slycer on these forums. :laughing7:
