is this a watchband ?

Found this around 300 yards from a cellar hole,it looks a watchband but i think its to long it measures 11 inches long,there was something attached to the center,could have been a watch,theres a name inscribed it says Thomas Davis Plymouth Conn. no#138,Thomas Davis had a clock shop on the Nagutack river in Thomanston Conn.in the 1880s.This ring was in the same hole i dont know if it had anything to do with the band.

No idea, but if you put it over your wrist with the end pieces overlapping I bet it won't seem too long.
