Not only was this gentleman an idiot, he hired two undocumented Mexican workers to dig the hole...one guy was digging the hole while breathing thru a garden hose 
while the other guy hoisted buckets of dirt with a rope.
All three would be prime candidates for the annual Darwin Awards.
