I found this HONKER of a gold ring today marked 583 (which is 14K) in a star with a hammer and sickle. It weighs 7.3 grams so it is around $280 in melt value! It also has another symbol or may be russian writing, so I am hoping someone can tell me what the symbol represents.

This one was uncovered by the strong surf at the shore by Tropical Storm Katia!

Neil: It looks like NGC will have a grader at Philly. I couldn't tell if ANACS or PCGS would but it's worth a shot. I might actually try to attend the expo on Saturday afternoon after an epic morning of yard sales.

I will be there around 10. One of the seminar topics is "Treasure Under Your Feet" at 11.
