Kennedyfan is back …*with the find of a lifetime! {Now with News Article!}

My fingers are shaking as I type this… I can't believe what I just got.

Here's the story: I was taking a forced hiatus for a couple of months since I lost my ability to dump. I'm finally working on getting a business account so I can start dumping again.

So I went to my main bank a couple of days ago, and found a mix of about 10 40%ers and 90%ers from a few CWRs. Not bad! With my toes back in the water, I was ready to jump in...

So then today I really started CRH again, by visiting the half-a-dozen nearby banks.

I'm really glad I did. Because out of a single $200 purchase of CWR halves from the bank closest to my home, $150 of them were SOLID 90% ROLLS.

The final count: I was actually short a couple, so it's 199 Franklins, and 99 1964 Kennedys.

This is freakin' awesome.

Nearly $2500 worth of silver (even at today's pathetic prices)!

The Ag is out there!

Any idea what the half-scribbled chinese character is on the rolls on the double rolls? I checked on Google and it's not "silver" :-)

Well if they are all silver you won't need a dump bank. Sweet find!

Part of it was of course that they were in rolls, so it would have taken a teller with some time and curiosity to open up the rolls. And of course to recognize that they were something special. I'm sure there are some tellers who do this, though. We call them cherry pickin' tellers!

you, my friend, are a VERY lucky person!! nice score

In the news!

Hey, I made the local paper! Hopefully my computer graphic skills (which active T-net readers can attest to) make this scan readable!

Of course I blacked out my name to preserve my real-name anonymity here on Treasurenet.

They got a few of the details wrong, but overall I think it looks pretty good.

(BTW, It's funny how I got this score right AFTER taxes were due. If only I had managed to get that score at the *beginning* of the April!)

Without further adoo. You might have to click on the picture to make it big enough to read.

Fantastic score! I am also so glad you don't live in Ohio because I'd have to hunt you down for putting this in my local paper. Haha

Wow...why would you go to the local paper with that? Seems counter-intuitive doesn't it?

Could you explain your logic in going to the paper? I mean sure we all like to gloat but that's what Tnet is for. You've basically just retired from CRH because the competition in your area will just have doubled, quadrupled even. I foresee an influx of new members thanks to your mention of Tnet. Or not and everything will stay the same because really who reads the newspaper? Oh right, older folks who will have the time and funds to CRH.

I'm sorry, I'm happy for you, and I congratulate you, and you deserve to be excited, but an article in the newspaper was not a good idea any way you look at it except for a self esteem boost. Not to mention now the bank knows, people know who you are and know you have those, etc.

That was a dumb move. Better report that on your taxes too.

Aww jeez, the reporter asked the bank manager for a comment?

Then you told the that people are ordering dozens of these boxes a week off this particular site?

OK, I was hoping some folks would remember some of my previous creative imagery posts:

Hunger Games - CRH Rap - Seeing Half Dollars Everywhere

And I mentioned the beginning of April...

Anyone? Bueller?

OK, OK, I'll confess. While the amazing score was 100% droolingly genuine, I was pulling y'all's leg about the newspaper article!

I'd NEVER broadcast this hobby like that!

Here is the article I wrote myself in my word processor. I manipulated the image so that it looked like a newspaper halftone! I printed it, blacked out the fake name, then scanned it back into my computer....

I had a feeling it was a hoax. How about the silver? Was that real?
