Another weekend for the 3 detectateers. We went back to the bountifull field that has been treating us well for quite a while now. We detected for many hours when I finally got something that wasn't can slaw or a piece of colonial era trash. King Geo. 3rd coppa. I would have to say that I have been on a roll and a half. A shot musketball and a tomback button rounded out my Saturday hunt. 16 coppers for the year for me.

Nice find Chris. Of course you've got us all thinking that you'll get three or four on each hunt now. :D :D. Make a push for 25 coppers. I think it's well within your reach with the sites KKC keeps hitting.

You looney clam of a datectorist, that coppa probably looks much better in person. You have been kicking some serious arse on the Colonial to early American coppas lately.

Folks, The Three Datectateers are currently at 37 coppas for the 2008 season!!! :icon_sunny:  Our goal of 60 WILL be reached...GUARANTEED!!!!

We are going to be getting out with our usual super high Colonial fevers tomorrow!!!! :occasion14:

The second "K" found just a Colonial to very early American buckle, a shot musketball, and some kind of spigot-like object. If I find a coppa or old wilver tomorrow, I'll post them. However, I still might post the spigot-like artifact on the "What is it?" forum!

NICE WORK, ZEUS!!

I'm glad there was enough detail on the back of that one for an ID.

Wish I could get out this weekend--you guys are giving me COPPA FEVER!

Buck, Kirk also found some coppas today as well.

Nice find! In my opinion it may be a William III copper, it is hard to tell though as there are many variants in the reverses during the years in which they were minted. I was going by the position of the staff in relation to the position of the shield. Still cool either way.

Chris.....again you didn't disappoint
You colonial fellers' keep this forum hoppin' my friend
