Last Two Hunts At "AWESOME" Grove

Got out this morning with Lookn4seated and DP Bob, and a little while later Kimsdad and Watercolor came out to dig. We were hunting at the "Awesome" grove Jon and I were at on Monday. I wasn't able to post my finds from that hunt so here they are.

Women's Silver Ring

Safetry Non-Explosive Tag

Today's hunts was even better for me. More silver, my first V nickel, my oldest coin, and handful of IHs. :headbang:
Here they are:

1900 Barber Dime

IMG_3854.jpg IMG_3856.jpg
1883 V Nickel

1874 IH

The 1874 IH was in among the mess of holes that Jon had dug on Monday. Payback for swiping the Barber I missed. :icon_pirat:

Not pictured are the other IHs: (2)1893s, a 1906, and a 1908, half a cracker jack toy, and a marble.

It was great to get back out to "Awesome" grove again. I think after what Bob pulled out today(We're waiting for your post Bob!), we should probably find a better name for it. ;D It was also great seeing Mark and Neil again. Glad you guys came out.

HH

Re: Last Two Hunts At The "AWESOME" Spot

Once again, Congrats on your first V, oldest coin, and sweet Barber dime ;D

You got me back for that Barber, but I told you to dig the signal....Not my fault you dug the can instead :laughing7: I think it's hilarious that you dug that out of all those holes I had dug. Must've been one of those signals I gave up on. At least I'm glad you got it! Better thatn sitting in the dirt for the next 100 years. :icon_pirat:

Man o Man is this spot "AWESOME"

Can't wait to hit it again! Maybe one of us will find a half dime or LC next.

Re: Last Two Hunts At The "AWESOME" Spot

Thanks Jon! After digging the IH out, I can see why you "might" have given up on it. There were sooo many signals from that mess of dirt. I am positive that it had nothing to do with your detecting skills. :tongue3: I kid, I kid. ;D

That's too funny Neil! Gave me an idea. I'll have my dad make a wood plaque to nail it to and hang it in the office. ;D

Re: Last Two Hunts At "AWESOME" Grove

It was 1883 and I tied that with the V today, err yesterday. Then I found the IH making it my oldest coin to date.

Re: Last Two Hunts At "AWESOME" Grove

Great barber dime Dan! WTG on cleaning up after Jon as well... my Dad recently nabbed a buffalo I left behind after I dug a grave size hole for 45 minutes to retrieve a 5.5ft long tree saw, and a sickle. What can I say, I was wiped after that.

That has to be one of the coolest tags one could find! It'll definitely display nicely.
