Lead bullet

I know this is a total beginner's question but can anyone give me some info on this bullet and about what era it is from? I found it in upstate NY and it weighs about 33 grams. Thanks for the help

We're gonna need a pic with the bullet next to a ruler that shows 32nds of an inch. Or a caliper. Going by weight is not accurate as there are bullets of different calibers that will have the same weight. Bullets are weighed by grains.

It has a hollow base(gas check). Correct? I can see no rifling grooves, so it may have been for a smooth-bore gun or it was never fired. The gas check looks flared out so that has me thinking it may have been fired. My guess is a Minet(minnie) ball.

Yeah it's somewhat hollowed out. Here's a few more pics. What time period do you think it's from?
