There is a history of mining claims in this area. Copper, gold, silver and lead were mined a century ago. There is even still a group of three active mining claims here. I don't believe they are actually mining though. Maybe minimal work. I have a report of historical Spanish activity also and there may be a mine or cache. I have a pretty good idea where a cache might be, but as usual, I am looking for verification. This is one I have been wanting to post for some time. A dowser from this forum clued me in to this location.
Thanks
Nicholas

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

The thought did enter my mind that perhaps this is where they mined it and they cached it somewhere else. The cache should be here or not very far if there is one.

Claims are not good way to tell if minerals are there...Many of us old timers keep claims just to have some place to go...I have one in California that I have put running water in and is a very nice camping area
