In a box a halves I went through today were about thirty (30) NIFC halves that looked as they had been metal blued.

They still retained their shimmer, but each had varying degrees of blue to almost a purple patina. In fact the darker ones, piled on a table almost looked like those "blue" tortilla chips.
If I didn't know any better I'd say our resident metallurgist and former frequent forum poster jewelerdave may have had a hand in this. 8)
I'll keep them for a while, until I find out more about them.
