I found this badge about a month ago at an old site but there was no military activity at this site. It has crossed rifles with bayonets. Could be British, Canadian or American...but that is just a guess.. It was down quite deep....Here are photos of the front and back of this mystery item...Any help would be appreciated. Thanks..

Neat find! And an interesting Canadian find.... Here are a couple old threads from the archives here.

Thanks for the help and the mystery is solved..It is a NY militia badge!! .Actually I thought it may be US because of the stars on the right of the crest...Thousands of American soldiers were stationed here in Newfoundland during WW2...so it is probably from that time period...Believe it it or not, I found this NYC railroad button not long after but at a different site!
