I have a 2002 FLSTFI (Harley Fatboy). It's taken me all over Montana and through eleven states. A few years ago I drove it from Great Falls, Montana to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and back - alone. It was the most fascinating adventure of my life! My MDing partner and I both ride, and have packed our detectors on the bikes to enjoy both hobbies at once.

Although I have the opportunity to ride all year long, I know many of you have a "riding season"... so to celebrate the riding season, post your bikes!

That can be done... my friend has some "doggles" on order. He's fixing up a side car for his BMW so they can take Avalon (the dog) swimming with them this summer. (I'm the honorary Uncle Ben)... I have several other bikes I'll try to get some photos of posted here.

I envy each of you.I've wanted a motorcycle my whole life!Never could afford one.Now I'm too old! But I did buy a Eton Beamer scooter 2yrs ago!I'll follow your dust!Haven't had it jazzed up yet.They told me I could bump it up to where it would do almost 70mph.Got to sneak that upgrade past the wife and son somehow.These gravel roads are not friendly at all.

Those Eton scooters are cool! They look fast just sitting there, with a nice travel trunk. I need one of those for farting around to work and back... It's still two wheels!!

You're never too old!! Just do it.

I quit riding while I was raising my kids because my wife thought it was too dangerous and I didn't ride for 27 years until I bought my V-Star in 2000 at age 56.

The wife and I have an agreement...I don't do crafts and she don't ride. Works for us.

56 is still 15yrs younger than me.Think I'll put 'powered by medicare' on the side.It would probably be different thinking if I had been a rider when I was younger and knew how to lay one down when needed.

Don't ever plan on being too old to ride.

Here is my last bike, a 95 shadow I sold a couple months ago, plan on getting another honda in may, not sure which one yet. Last decent ride I took on this was 1351 miles in 22 hours (solo). On average would do 200-500 miles a day when riding. I love the wind.
I have not owned a harley since one left me sitting in KY for 3 days back in "74" they say they are better now, but I am not willing to spend that kind of money to find out.

Anyway, years ago ran across an older woman in a pull off in lower alabama who related to me how her husband had always wanted to see the county on a bike. They never did it, when he died she sold everything bought a bike and was living his dream. Her only regret was that they didn't do it together.
Ya have to follow your dreams and not go to the grave with any "should have" or "could have" on your contious.

looks like we have our fair share of riders here. I've had bikes for thirty years. here's the one I have now (that runs). Got an old triumph bonneville I'm gonna restore someday.

Well Jim, mine is in this shed that the roof caved in on. Almost 2 ft of
heavy wet snow was to much for it. Winter won't quit this year, snowed

Bike appears to be OK, but waiting for some snow to melt to get it dug
out.
On the bright side, it will soon warm up here and our cold and snowy weather will move
to the east coast. You're welcome east coaster's!
