MY BEST BUCKLE SO FAR & MORE CW BULLETS

I'll start off with Friday after work. I went back into the woods where I've been digging the CW relics. Some of you may recall the 14 CW 3-ringers I dug out of the same small area last week. Well, guess what? I missed THREE MORE!!! That now makes 17 out of the same spot!!! :o :o :o
Attached is a picture of my growing collection of CW lead: 3 ringers, Enfields, carved bullets, round shot, etc.

Today I drove about 30-40 miles into the country to follow up on a lead on a new spot. It's a 1860's house/farm, with slave shacks, other old houses, barns, and a grave of a CW soldier (age 40). I will hopefully be getting the o.k. on that spot soon.

On my way back I went past a place I had hunted last year. It's an 1800's house (pictured). It was already 4:30pm, but I stopped to MD a bit. The owner said "no problem", so I got my fix. This place is TOUGH to detected because there is an electric fence for the horses all around the place. It gives off false signals (pulsating) about anywhere you go. :( I didn't get much, a few wheats, and the BEST BUCKLE I"VE EVER FOUND!!!! At least I think it's a beauty. It's heavy like brass, and I believe Victorian. :icon_scratch: The great thing is, it still has the light blue (robin egg color) stone in it.
Can anyone verify the era?

Thanks for looking Folks,
MM

Doug,
That buckle is very cool. Nice job. :icon_sunny:

Still rubbing those bullets in my face?! Man, I can't believe I didn't find one when I was down there. :icon_scratch: ;D

Thanks Bob.
I don't think you were wasting your time on lead when you came down here. If I recall you had your detector set to "silver reale" mode. ;D  You wouldn't believe how bad those pastures look now that the horses are gone. They are so overgrown. No more detecting out there. :'(
Hope all is well up there.

Doug,

Just bought a used 8x9 coil for my Tesoro Silver UMax. How good is it at pinpointing ? I know the stock coil is awesome at pinpointing . Any hints or suggestions with the 8 x9 coil ?? Hope to get some good finds this week. The ground is so hard now I'm hoping we get a little rain .

Thanks Hoosier. I really love my Silver Umax with the 8 x 9 coil. It has done fantastic for me. My targets seem to be just below the center of the coil, not direct center like with the stock coil. You'll have it mastered in no time. Good luck. Believe me, you have all the detector you need now.

Thanks KD.
I may actually go out with the horses next time. There is a pasture right behind the house and the ground is totally flat. Should be some good digs in there too.

Sweet buckle man,

I'd say 1870's maybe older from the style.

Hey young lady. I hope all is well in your new state. The picture I took is too bright and the stone looks white in the picture.
It is actually a light blue like a robin egg. The closest stone I can think of would be turquoise. :icon_scratch:
I was so happy to dig a full buckle AND have the stone too!
Thanks Gypsy.
