Well I found my first ring. Worth about $4.99. But, boy did it give me a thrill. 002.JPG It says He died 4 me I live for him. Stainless I think. Oh well. Better luck next time I hope.

Oh Becky your so negative. That looks like a beautiful ring. It has a great message on it. You sure its not PLATINUM!?

I"m sure I wouldn't be bummed had I found that. It's actually quite a nice ring. Congrats!

"He died 4 me, I live for Him" ......... FACT.

be proud to have found it, and cherish it, its meaning is the greatest treasure of all.

A great first ring!
Here are the first rings I ever found both on one hunt after months of hunting with no success.
A junk, kid's fake cats eye ring and that mood ring was the very first one, an authentic 1970's relic that I wish was in as good as shape as yours.
Also this thing was evidently in a very foul mood because it doesn't work anymore.

:icon_thumright: Congrats on your first ring! A very nice ring! :icon_thumright: Looks like it may be a "spinner" ring, so give that a try.

You'll dig silver rings & probably gold or platinum rings too! If my tired old self & my tired little Bounty Hunter can repeatedly find gold & silver rings, so can your more state-of-the-art machine! We'll hear your happy yell when ya dig your first "precious metal" ring! :laughing7: I dug my lovely silver & gold rings in the super-junky & iron-infested places which other detectorists avoid -- so detecting "ugly places" is your best bet. And of course a bit of research helps too. Have Fun! Andi

Very good first ring! Hope they get easy for you now!

Thank you. And yes, it is a spinner ring. You can still buy them. It came up on the AT Pro all over the place from the 30's to the 50's. When I read the inscription I kind of felt sad. Someone must have loved the ring. I could see in the inside of the band size11. So knew it was not gold or silver. But, it was a thrill to see it in the hole. I will not part with it anyway. Maybe wear it on a chain for luck.

That's a great-looking ring - sure beats the white metal junk rings I usually find. Congrats!

Very nice ring! Congrats!
