thanks I know about the small button its a circa 1800s royal Canadian yacht club button.
I'm wondering about the 13 button.

it looks like a fire dept button to me. it should be relatively simple to research.call your local fire dept and ask if there is or was a station 13 in your area.

Thanks everyone I will research and see if it is a fire button.
I did due some research and discovered that there was a 13th British regiment of foot(summerset light infantry) that came to Canada in 1813 to help out with the wa,r and in fact the same homestead that it was found was home to a foot soldier from the war of 1812 and I did find a American light infantry 1 st regiment button at the same site.

the button is the top right
