New Garrett International order policy

A dealer in TX told me today that US Garrett dealers are being asked not to sell/ship to international customers.... IE If you live in Australia, you're forced to buy it from Garrett Australia.. Or one of the other local dealers..

That's the same policy that other Manufacturers of metal detectors have also. The emphasis is on the dealer in other countries to look after their own customers, not the factory. That will eliminate confusion over language barriers for some, currency issues, sales agreements etc. I think there is also an import tax added on by the Australian Gov't to protect and promote Australian's own manufacturing base.

Not sure if this is directed at me Ivanll.. If it is, let me clear this up... This is second hand information, passed along from a Dealer i know in Dallas Tx... It may very well not be FACT.. I don't know.. Nor do I care.
I was simply passing on information I was given.. If its false and you know better, please share..
