Garrett is no different then auto, cellphone, aircraft, computer software, computer hardware, etc. vendors. You have to keep coming out with something new in order to keep the money flowing in...

I doubt very much that Garrett will release a metal detector soon. They are having a tough time filling the orders both nationally and internationally for the At Series & Ace Series as the demand is so high.

That is exactly the reason why they will more than likely release a new unit. take the focus off the AT line... and onto the new machines they have a warehouse full of, the hardcore guys will be all over it...
like they were with the CTX 3030, and AT Gold..

I really hope its a powerful PI prospecting machine.

I agree with Vpnavy and Ausgoldhunter. I have also noticed Garrett started to do a little advertising of the ACE350 and the GTI during the shortage of ATP. Only time will tell

Garrett AT-PI 3500, 4500, 5500 series.... HD screen like the V3i, you can customize programs with some kinda conductive/sizing options, and it will track/hit multiple targets like the CTX 3030. Waterproof to 10' like the AT Pro. That's what I heard... Fall 2013

I have no idea what they are planning, but replacing the long on the market GTI-2500 with something that weighs less would make sense to me. Maybe for 2014? Also could be possible they would come up with something for about $450 to fill the price gap between Ace 350 & AT Pro. Maybe it would be called the Ace 450?? But I'm in no hurry to replace my AT Pro & figure most others are able to wait as well. HH, George (MN)

It would great if Garrett comes out with a multi frequency detector to compete with Minelab

A detector is a tool.....it's the person that uses the detector that is competing.

How 8-) would it be if the next Garrett promo video is partly in Australian/English.

and shot in Australia.
